Weaving Hour Descriptions
Each Weaving Hour uses a different form of inquiry. Choose according to the kind of pattern you are asking Penelope's Page to work with.
Ancestral Weaving
For inquiries concerned with lineage, inheritance, memory, family mythology, and patterns carried across generations.
Pattern Drafting begins with the material itself rather than forcing it into a predetermined structure. A bespoke framework is developed around the ancestral or inherited pattern being examined.
Depending on the inquiry, the work may draw from mythology, genealogy, chronology, symbolism, celestial material, and other relevant sources.
Cosmic Thread
For focused inquiries asking what happens between two or more already-defined threads.
Shed & Shuttle works relationally. Existing symbols, placements, myths, dates, charts, asteroids, correspondences, or other known elements are moved through established Penelope's Page structures so their intersections can be examined.
The emphasis is on relationship: repetition, contrast, correspondence, tension, convergence, and pattern between the threads.
Warp & Weft
For complex celestial inquiries in which many individual components need to be brought into one coherent design.
The warp provides the structural foundation. Your specific celestial material becomes the weft moving through it.
Depending on the project, the weaving may incorporate planetary and asteroid placements, aspects, degrees, mythology, chronology, symbolic correspondences, chart architecture, and other relevant layers.
